About Sara Stephens
Sara Stephens is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor in Alabama who has been working in the mental health field since 2010. She founded Counselor Training Solutions, LLC in 2025 with a vision of providing mental health professionals with practical, engaging, and supportive continuing education opportunities.
Sara began her career in the substance abuse field, where she worked for eight years providing treatment and support to individuals and families. In 2018, she joined Yellow Brick Road Counseling, LLC, where she currently serves as Clinical Director and Licensing Supervisor. In her clinical work, Sara has experience serving clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
As both a clinician and supervisor, Sara understands the importance of ongoing professional growth and quality training. Through Counselor Training Solutions, she strives to create learning experiences that are relevant, interactive, and directly applicable to the work mental health professionals do every day.
Unlike large conference-style trainings, CTS was intentionally designed to maintain smaller class sizes, ideally 20 participants or fewer. This allows for a true learning environment where attendees can actively engage, ask questions, share experiences, and feel heard. Sara believes meaningful professional development happens through connection, discussion, and practical application, not just listening to a presentation.
